Work Environment

This position will be based onsite at our dedicated rehabilitation facility in Herndon, Virginia, where we foster a collaborative and dynamic working environment. You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team, including physical therapy assistants, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals, dedicated to helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to assess their physical abilities and limitations, developing individualized treatment plans aimed at preventing disability, relieving pain, and restoring movement.
• Oversee and instruct physical therapy assistants in executing treatment regimens while ensuring adherence to established care plans.
• Utilize diagnostic tools to perform thorough evaluations, including muscle, nerve, and joint assessments, resulting in informed decisions regarding patient care.
• Design and implement therapeutic exercise programs tailored to meet the specific goals of each patient, with an emphasis on functional activities that promote independence.
• Administer physical therapy techniques, including manual therapy, massage, and modalities such as ultrasound or electrical stimulation, adhering to best practice guidelines.
• Fit and adjust orthotic and prosthetic devices, working with patients to ensure comfort and functionality and recommending changes as necessary.
• Document patient progress, modifications to care plans, and continuity of care through accurate clinical recordkeeping, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, providing insights and collaborating with other professionals on comprehensive care strategies to support patients' diverse needs.
• Educate patients and their families about therapy techniques, home exercises, and the use of assistive devices to encourage active participation in their recovery journey.
• Maintain open communication with healthcare providers and case managers to discuss patient progress and potential adjustments to therapy strategies.
• Stay current with advancements in physical therapy practices, participating in ongoing education to enhance clinical skills and patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist at Calm Body Innovative Fitness & Rehab, you will work with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from surgeries, injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Our focus is on delivering tailored rehabilitation services that respect patients' unique challenges while empowering them to regain their independence. Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program required; additional certifications or a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• A minimum of one year of relevant experience as a Physical Therapist in an acute care or home care setting is essential.
• Current and valid PT licensure in the state of Virginia, in good standing.
• CPR certification and evidence of continuing education in physical therapy practices.
• Demonstrated ability to engage positively with patients, families, and team members; strong interpersonal and communication skills are crucial.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively about patient-centered care and treatment options.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in rehabilitation facilities or home health settings is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records systems to maintain accurate and confidential patient documentation.
• Advanced knowledge of therapeutic modalities and evidence-based pain management techniques.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for the Physical Therapist position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000 yearly, commensurate with experience.
